How to import Sony FDR-AXP35 XAVC S files to FCP X on Mac?

Sony FDR-AXP35 which comes with the highlights including capture 4K Ultra HD Video, variety recording formats(XAVC S, AVCHD, and MP4), Exmor R CMOS Sensor and more functions has become the first choice for those who want to have the latest modestly priced 4K Handycam. While, like other 4K handy cameras, XAVC S files from Sony FDR-AXP35 are not natively accepted by FCP X.

To import and edit Sony FDR-AXP35 XAVC S files in FCP X, you will need to do some preparation before editing. The easy workaround I’ve worked out is to find a way to rewrap and convert Sony FDR-AXP35 XAVC S to FCP X editable format in 1080p.
